"Be patient and you will be happy!" I can still hear my mother's words of advice (over and over!) I think I can finally understand what she meant. If you are in the buying or selling process with your home, I hope you can access some additional patience. You may need it. I certainly did!
I've written previously about the saga of selling our home - from disappointing appraisal to back-out buyers. Since last February, we put our home on the market, had several successful open houses, sold our home, received low appraisal, buyers backed out, put the home on the market again, sold it again, and now are finally one week away from closing. We've packed and unpacked and now we're packing again. It's been a roller coaster of emotions and an eye-opening experience.
In our fast-paced culture, we have come to expect that things happen now, not later. With access to the entire world at our fingertips, we are losing the art of patience. Perhaps it's time to take a refresher course in patience from the natural world.
In nature, things just take as long as they should. A seed is planted, tended and nurtured (by you or mother nature), and then it finally sprouts, grows and bears its fruit. We used to wait every year until July to get raspberries! Now they are available in the market almost all the time.
If you are patient and hopeful, things will turn out the way they are meant to be. Turn to nature for a lesson in patience. Then, whatever your housing dilemma may be, practice the art of patience. You will be happy.

"Be patient and you will be happy!" Yeah definitely some the other saying is patience is a virtue:).As realtors agent it is important to be patient upon handling a lead, patience with the buyers who back out after all the work you've done.
